Bye, Bye, Lake Gaston, Hello, Williamsburg, May 7, 2011
We are in Skipper, Virginia, heading north on I 95. We left Lake Gaston at 8:00, right on our desired departure. It is a lovely day and North Carolina never looked greener. We were a little surprised at the rolling hills we crossed on Hwy 903 in Halifax County. Never having visited that part of our state, we were unaware of them, but it was very pretty. Larry commented that riding in the RV is like riding with a movie screen because we can see so much of the countryside. We have always been great window watchers. I guess it comes from playing counting cows when my family used to travel from Lenoir to Summerfield. Sometimes Larry and I still play that game, but it isn't as much fun since there are so few family farms.

YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO PLAY COUNTING COWS HERE IN THE FARMING REGION OF CALEFORNEA. AT FIRST IT LOOKS LIKE A BLACK WHITE MOUNTAIN, UNTIL YOU GET CLOSE ENOUGH TO SEE THOUSANDS OF BLACK AND WHITE COWS OF EVERY DESCRIPTION AND SIZE YOU CAN IMAGINE. WE EVEN SAW SOME OF MY FAVORITES ALONG THE WAY ( BELTED GALLOWAYS) OR SO ANDREW SAYS THATS THEIR NAME. OH WELL HAVE A GRATE TIME..

I would like to share some interesting information about cows. Cows mostl;y do not live in the country anymore. During the late 70s and early 80s the Great Moogration occurred and cows moved into the cities looking for the greener pastures promised by such great bovine benefactors as Ronald McDonald, King Burger, and even a child evangelist named Wendee. Unfortunately there were no jobs for a cow in the city at this time. There were some government entitlement programs but they required the recipients be toothless, drug addicted, or a recent immigrant who does not speak English.
ReplyDeleteSo the ever resourceful cow called upon their international allies where cows are revered and worshipped: China and India. With their help the cows were able to expertly manipulate the workplace in our country in a two pronged assault.
First China aided the cows by stealing away all the jobs currently held by non-cows. Ironically they have been aided by a humongous RV campground store called Wal Mart where many cows now work.
India also aided the cows in a brilliant but more direct way. India sent workers over to strategically take over the convenience stores, the motel/hotel industry and finally the telephone support centers.
What is the ultimate goal of the cows? There are many theories. The fact so many city jobs are now held by obnoxious cows could mean jobs were all the cows sought.
However many believe a more sinister and vengeful motive exists. By targeting the Wal Marts, the convenience stores, and the lodging industry cows have effectively taken absolute control of all land based travel. Forget trying to contact a telephone support center for non-cow alternatives….they are run by the cow loving India natives.
And while no cow will actually admit it, there have been many reports of these cows (along with their international allies) quietly counting the poor retired people forced to travel around our country. Counting , counting, counting…..like it were just a game.
Think about this:
Obama……Moobama
Google……Moogle
Bill OReilly….Bill MooReilly
And dont forget all the cows in government and running the Oil industry (OPEC....MOOPEC)
and the list goes on and on. What can we do? Keep counting RV Warriors…Keep counting
